In order to continue to be a leader in delivering tailored supply chain solutions, GENCO, through its continuous improvement initiatives, has invested in identifying and implementing innovative technologies.As a Project Engineer in the Research and Development department at GENCO, I both led and assisted in projects involving automated guided vehicles (AGVs), warehousing drones, collaborative robots, 3D printing, mobile piece-picking robots, and other innovative technologies. These projects required high levels of planning, process design, and communication with GENCO operations personnel and solution vendors.

Completed GENCO's summer internship program, which involved working alongside professionals and other interns from various departments. Accepted and currently working as part-time employee within the Lean Solutions department as I complete my last semester of school.Have worked on a variety of engineering and business related projects, including: - Development of a comprehensive RFP tool to rank and evaluate prospective business opportunities based on a list of customizable ranking criteria. Tool creates a simple interface for complex comparisons between existing and new business opportunities. - Weekly travel to Olive Branch, MS for six weeks to facilitate the transition to a new Warehouse Management System (Manhattan SCALE) within a 534,000 sq ft facility. While there, created work instructions and process flow diagrams for the varied processes taking place within the facility. Also analyzed inventory based on size and velocity of product to determine ideal storage locations. - Traveled to Lebanon, PA for five days with a small team to demonstrate GENCO's co-packing and warehousing capabilities for a multi-million dollar PepsiCo bid. Assisted in the setup (layout, personnel, logistics) of multiple lines of product which were presented to PepsiCo. GENCO won PepsiCo's business as a result of the multi-day demonstration. - Data analysis of years worth of orders, product information, and warehousing locations to identify trends and possible areas of improvement within multiple distribution centers across the country. - Site visits/tours of distribution centers and corporate headquarters including Nortek, Xerox, McGraw-Hill, and Inventionland.

Worked on a variety of engineering related projects in a manufacturing environment to facilitate continuous improvement projects and increase efficiency on the production lines.Participated as a member of two Kaizens to reduce line defects and increase uptime.Evaluated section of manufacturing line for defect/downtime reduction using high-definition video capture system and proposed physical line changes on highest-volume line which were implemented.
