I am now a fully trained Social Media Manager after graduating from the Digital Mums' vocational training course in Strategic Social Media Marketing in June 2019. The course involved 350+ hours of real experience designing a campaign and managing various social media channels.I am the founder of Penny Playdates: the social media campaign set up during my training. Penny Playdates is currently running across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and promotes free and low-cost activities for families in my local community, as well as raising the profile of the Children & Family Centres and libraries. I am currently responsible for managing the scheme's Facebook page with some light-touch posting to Twitter.

I have sub-edited a number of Kelsey Media publications including Fast Car, Ultimate Supercar, Carnography and S.U.V. This role requires excellent attention to detail, fantastic grammar and punctuation skills and the ability to adhere to in-house style guides, ensuring a consistent tone of voice across individual publications. As such, I am able to alter on-screen copy using the desktop publishing software, Adobe InDesign.

After finishing maternity leave with my second child, I took a career break due to the rising cost of childcare. During this time, I re-evaluated my options and commenced a number of courses (in particular, the Digital Mums' vocational training) to equip me with the skills necessary to embark on a new and exciting career that worked around family life. Not one to rest on my laurels, I have become a lifelong learner and have successfully managed to study around small children demonstrating my ability to multitask and kick 'baby brain' into touch!

My role was to take a lead on the housing-related support needs assessment and placement of offenders or people at risk of offending as referred by London Probation, HM Prison Service or other criminal justice agencies.This involved:• Balancing any risk issues identified in the assessment against the housing provider's ability to mitigate these risks.• Operating a waiting list and implementing the prioritisation system for access to Supporting People placements/services.• Advising applicants, providers and referral agents about the assessment process, ensuring realistic expectations.• Monitoring the degree to which Supporting People providers (hostels and supported housing placements) accept offenders or people at risk of offending into their services.• Ensuring offenders or people at risk of offending gain fair access to these services. • Providing advice and guidance on housing-related issues to Probation Officers.• Acting as an internal expert on the housing related needs of offenders and people at risk of offending.• Undertaking assessment and placement of other vulnerable people as required by the service and while on 'duty'.

The Diamond Initiative was a pilot project set up to tackle the very high reoffending rate of prolific offenders who serve less than 12 months in prison (and by definition are not subject to statutory supervision on release). It was a multi-agency approach between the Police, Probation and Local Authority. My role involved assessing offenders and setting up an action plan to reduce the risk of reoffending on release. This involved meeting clients several times in custody to engage them in support and plan ahead for release. This way, their resettlement needs could be identified early on and planning for release undertaken at the earliest opportunity. For example, seeking appropriate accommodation for a NFA client would be my immediate focus of work (*hierarchy of needs*), while other resettlement pathways may be considered attainable in the longer term (for example, a voluntary work placement).

My role was to provide a needs-led housing assessment and advice service to offenders or people at risk of offending and the London Probation Service. Main Duties of post: • To prepare and undertake housing assessments on all offenders referred to the HAWk by London Probation, NOMS or other criminal justice agencies. • Provide practical advice and assistance to prevent tenancy breakdown and enable offenders to access suitable accommodation or support services. • To develop referral pathways and increase access to housing and support services for offenders. • Liaise with providers of supported housing and manage the offender bed spaces in the borough.

Main Duties of post: • Practitioner responsibility for the delivery of Referral Orders.• To contribute to the development and implementation of Referral Orders in line with the requirements under the powers of criminal courts. • To undertake thorough and effective assessments of need and circumstances and develop interventions in order to reduce offending behaviour. • To prepare reports and collate information for Youth Offender Panel Meetings. • To assist Youth Offender Panel Members in translating assessments into effective and innovative contracts for young people who have been referred to the Panel. • To take responsibility for the safety and well-being of Youth Offender Panel Members, young people, families, carers and victims at meetings. • To work closely with a range of external agencies including schools, reparation providers and community providers with a view to successful integration of children and young people into their communities. A Referral Order is a court order available to first-time young offenders who plead guilty to an offence whereby the young offender is referred to a panel of two trained community volunteers and a member of the youth offending team. Sometimes, the victim may attend. If they are unable to attend in person, a victim impact statement is usually read out. At the panel, a contract is agreed to ‘make good the harm caused’. This usually involves activities to address the offending behaviour and some form of reparation or ‘pay back’.

My role was to help vulnerable clients with support needs (for example, mental health, drug and alcohol misuse and learning disabilities) to settle into their homes and sustain their tenancies.Main Duties of Post:• Referral and assessment - Liaison with the assessment team, clearing house and other agencies to ensure that clients are matched to supported housing projects which best meet their needs.• Housing Support - To work with clients to ensure appropriate and effective support programmes are in place and reviewed regularly.• Supported Housing Management - To provide high quality housing management services to clients and to maximise Broadway's rental income and minimise loses through rent arrears and voids.

I was responsible for student recruitment onto degree/ diploma courses for the School of Health and Social Care. Main Duties: • Assess applications against entry criteria and make decisions on whether to accept/ reject. • Refer non-standard applications for advice involving direct contact with academic staff. • Enter decisions onto computerised database. • Assess applicants fee status
