Quokka Sports was the premiere digital sports media company of their time; producing sites such as NBCOlympics.com, MLB.com, and Golf.com. As a helpdesk support engineer and then a Sr. Systems/Network Administrator, I was part of a team in charge of security, network engineering, server engineering, telecom, and client support teams for an environment consisting of 100+ servers, mostly web facing production, many for live streaming content. During the .com down-turn, I oversaw the wind-down of company-wide technology operations and transfer of assets to bankruptcy trustee.

Along with IT Director, responsible for all end user and systems support for a 120+ employee, multi-location and mutli-server, live production CAD and Engineering environment. Company worked on many time-sensitive projects for Tier-1 facilities, hospitals, police stations, and had one of the leading HVAC design practices for Tier-3 & 4 Data Centers. The users and environment needed to be ALWAYS-ON and data integrity and availability were paramount to the business.
