I’ve been a problem solver for as long as I can remember, learning long ago advice and vitamins are nice, but solutions are the real value. Having a strong internal desire to understand how systems work, I’ve spent time deconstructing just about everything from toys to computers, from classroom rules to world markets, and more. The defining thread is learning how things get done, technically, process-wise, and from a humanity perspective. As a serial entrepreneur, I’m always looking for the key to further optimize a process, increase incentives, leverage a new technology, or do something wholly new. During a project developing custom software for a start up company called Vocollect, I was struck by the way their voice technology was changing the face of fulfillment operations as we knew it. Contracting several years with Vocollect gave me some serious experience on many of the industry's most important voice implementations. I continued to look at how we could continue to further leverage voice in supply chain, but also in other industries like retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and beyond. Industrial voice applications are exploding as exposure to Siri, Alexa, and Cortona bring new exposure to - and demand for - voice exchange in the performance of daily work. In conjunction with existing infrastructure, these productivity solutions serve to reduce labor and error costs. I am fascinated how well voice applies in so many working areas as these customized workflow productivity solutions we deliver (manufactured by Honeywell) are now used by nearly 1,000,000 workers each day around the globe.
