I joined Chief as a Founding Member in the UK. Chief is a private network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there. Chief is the only organisation specifically designed for the most powerful women executives to strengthen their leadership, magnify their influence, and pave the way to bring others with them.

The Mayor of London wants to ensure all Londoners have the skills they need to succeed economically and in wider society, and for businesses to have access to a pool of talent to compete in the global market.In this voluntary role as a London Enterprise Adviser, part of the wider UK network, our objective is to assist local schools and college careers leaders on how to increase their engagement with businesses and access local career resources utilising our connections and expertise. Being a strategic adviser and ‘critical friend’, the aims are to ensure that young Londoners from all backgrounds can access the opportunities that the capital has to offer.

Venn Street provided business consultancy, developed entrepreneurial campaigns and experiential programmes for the not-for-profit sector.Clients included Youth Business International, Virgin Startup, UnLtd, vInspired, British Council, Welsh Assembly, EAGA Charitable Trust and Carnegie UK Charitable Trust.I project managed the Global Entrepreneurship Week UK campaign, on behalf of the UK hosts, Youth Business International, UnLtd, Virgin Startup and Startup Direct with over 370k participants achieving positive steps towards their entrepreneurial journey.

Astia is a global organisation for high-growth women-led businesses.

Connect Yourself was a partnership consisting of Foyer Federation, Changemakers and Youth at Risk.As the part time Partnerships Director, I led the development of this Department for Education funded initiative and increased the ability to capacity building across the three partners improving their ability to tender for public sector contracting opportunities in the youth services sector. I identified new and effective opportunities to support youth and meet commissioner’s needs, reporting on progress to the partnership board and the Department for Education.I enabled the partners to secure additional income through the creation and delivery of a revenue generation plan, based on identified commercial potential and realising additional funding of £2.6m Including a substantial Big Lottery grant) by partners against a target of £500k.

Originally hired as Head of Campaigns (Women’s Enterprise) to establish a new directorate and strategic direction promoting women owned businesses, then promoted to Head of Campaigns (New Products & Women’s Enterprise) to further develop support for women owned businesses and replicate this for those affected by the recession, and latterly promoted to Assistant Director of Commercial Strategy to bring together corporate services into a commercially viable offering and market these to potential customers.As a member of the Senior Management Team, I developed and grew the commercial strategy to fund, develop and deliver new campaigns and products to the sector. With my team of staff, I managed a series of successful tenders and funding bids, from bodies such as Virgin Media, Google, the Department for Business and the European Commission. These funds supported campaigns and partnerships that I created tackled social-economic and recession issues, bringing together different sectors to share best practices and help reduce unemployment. My proudest accomplishments were with campaigns targeting women and girls. I established the “Girls! Make your Mark!” Ambassador school programme and the Spark, national women’s network for the State Secretary for Business. These programmes reached over 330k women and girls across the UK, bringing them insights and confidence to take new steps towards entrepreneurship and influencing other European countries to adopt this model of engagement.

Within BLC, I developed the diversity initiatives to bring more women, small businesses and minority group users to business and enterprise services across the region. Female engagement rose by 20% in 3 years, due to the award winning campaigns I led, which included networking events, business consultancy services, coaching and training workshops.I established and managed an ICT training centre and sold business and ICT events, training courses, and consultancy services. I oversaw the delivery of around 90 events organised per year for ~2,000 delegates.I project managed 8 projects funded by various UK and European bodies, including ESF, Job Centre Plus, Regional Development Agency and Learning and Skills Council, managing budgets over £3 million.

I managed various IT related projects from budget and business case, through development, testing and deployment across 2 teams within the organisation.

I led the day to day operation of a 200 user network across 3 separate sites with a team of 2 supervising the helpdesk, reporting hardware and software faults, and technical support though user training.
