A state government cultural agency and not-for-profit that aims to be a catalyst for generating new knowledge and ideas. Graphite was a small start-up in the cloud native software-as-a-service space, aiming to create project management software which tracks and autonomously highlights how projects are connected, avoiding double handling and waste. I collaborated with potential customers to understand the current software they are using and the gaps and limitations of that software. Using this information, I created solutions, breaking them down into workloads for development.Key achievements: • Developed an efficient, low fixed cost architecture – designed a containerised, scalable, cloud native architecture to minimise start-up costs, whilst avoiding vendor lock-in. • Established relationships with potential customers – collaborating to understand their needs and how current market offerings were failing, designed solutions and created a backlog of work to deliver them.

Australia’s largest telco, the Telstra Enterprise division builds on this to provide end-to-end technology solutions to corporations and governments worldwide. Part of the Bapcor group, Baxters is a national automotive electrical distribution and engineering company primarily focused on the heavy transport, mining and defence industries. My role began in marketing and grew to include responsibility for the whole of digital and technology.Responsibilities included: • Marketing strategy • Delivering a unified digital experience • General management of eCommerce channels • Establishing the data and analytics capability • ICT management • ERP and CRM implementation and continuous improvementKey achievements: • Embedded performance measurement and analytics into the organisation and staff KPIs. • Optimised RFQ processes removing double work which was core to the role of sales managers, reducing workload for 80% of staff.
