As a member of the media relations team, I was responsible for building effective media strategies. With a knack for being able to move seamlessly between clients, my experience ranged from consumer, health and corporate clients. In addition to developing and executing smart media strategy, I also excelled as a client media trainer, working with corporate executives and spokespeople to prepare them for national media opportunities. Responsible for developing daily weather forecasts, including initial research, development of presentation and delivery during two hour morning newscast. Roles and responsibilities included: • Establish relationships with key public figures necessary for reporting• Communicate daily weather forecasts for residents of northwest Iowa, northeast Nebraska and southeast South Dakota• Edit video and write scripts for newscasts; used linear tape editing, WSI systems• Teach weather and weather preparedness to local students; represent news station at public events
