I study a computational imaging technique known as Fourier Ptychography. This technique iteratively generates a super-resolution by stitching together variably-lit, low-resolution images in Fourier space. We aim to expedite this technique using deep convolutional and residual neural network architectures.

I help run problem sessions once a week where engineering students can get help with their homework. During my time at Swarthmore, I helped run these sessions for three courses: Electrical Circuit Analysis (two semesters), Physical Linear Systems (one semester) and Numerical Methods (one semester).

I received a BS in engineering with an emphasis in electrical engineering and a BA in mathematics from Swarthmore on May 27, 2018. I was crossword editor of the college newspaper, a tutor, TA, lab instructor and grader for the engineering department. I was the varsity captain of the track & field and cross country teams. I was was several credits away from finishing a third major in computer science.

In this position, I designed a small electronic device to monitor bird collisions with glass windows. Such collisions kill millions of birds in the United States every year. My device comprises a Raspberry Pi, and MEMS accelerometer, a small camera board and a custom-printed case. I also created a website to collect data and verify data from the sensor (http://fubini.swarthmore.edu/birdwatch - access restricted to Swarthmore College).

Livermore, California

At Lawrence Livermore, I studied the performance of massively paralleled physics and engineering codes running on fat-tree networks. Using a network simulator called TraceR (https://github.com/LLNL/TraceR), we evaluated the communications performance of these codes to determine which factors had the largest impact on execution time.
