Accountable for Global Commercial categories (Marketing Agencies, Media, Insights, Patient Services, Print & Promo, Meetings, Congress & Events and Business Travel), with an annual spend of +$500M and leading a multicultural and global team of 10 associates. Responsible to partner with Sandoz Executive members to define and sponsor global projects to maximize value across the organization and support P&L (both top and bottom line).

Accountable for Global category leadership (~$800M under scope) in the area of Marketing Agencies (Consumer, Professional and Digital Creative, Public Relations, Corporate and Medical Communications, Digital & Advertising Production), for all Divisions across Novartis, ensuring delivery of measurable value through alignment of business requirements, strategic sourcing expertise, supplier market intelligence, financial productivity and mitigation of risk. Development of Global Strategy, Governance and constant improvement and innovation initiatives.

Accountable for the Procurement Operations, Global and Special projects implementation and Supplier Diversity, business planning and financial oversight for US Procurement (~$2.5B in-scope spend, 3 internal reports), including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, analysis and reporting. Procurement financial impact alignment with Finance. Responsible for project development, business case and benchmark creation and Procurement communications. Leadership includes performance management, setting strategic direction, pipeline management, sharing best practices and leading work streams for process improvement and program management in spend categories covering Marketing & Sales and Corporate Spend.

Accountable for all procurement activities for Novartis Latin America & Canada. Managing the Regional Category Managers team (4 internal FTE’s, +3 external) and +$150M spend. Main focus on meeting the local and global business requirements through the successful provision of goods and services from external 3rd parties, aligned Category Strategy, and Annual Category Plan.Sourcing Transformation executed: Strategic Sourcing Development locally with demand management actions, Productivity teams creation, Project and Category management, process efficiency, SRM (Supplier Relationship Management). Implementation of Business partnering serving an important variety of Internal stakeholders and business requirements in different locations and manufacturing sites

Accountable for all procurement activities at a site and Country level. Managing of site Strategic Buyers and Operational Buyers (4 internal FTE’s, +15 external) and +$50M spend. Main focus on successful provision of goods and services from external 3rd parties, aligned Category Strategy, and Annual Category Plan. Assurance of Compliance and process controls. Implementation of a Cross-Divisional and Cross-Country Sourcing Structure and Guidelines.

Manager, at a Country level, of the Corporate Spend Categories (Travel, Car Fleet, Insurance, Professional Services and Contingent Labour categories), at strategic and operational levels (~$40M spend). Negotiation and selection of suppliers, service definition and performance monitoring through KPIs, development of strategic plans and Budgets, proposal and leadership in service optimization initiatives and cost improvement. Project leader in implementation of Regional and Local Projects. Management of categories at cross-divisional level (all Novartis Group companies in Spain).
