I am an impassioned accounting major at the University of North Texas. I’ve had a quality academic career, having been nominated by several honor societies and consistently making both the Dean’s and President’s list. I take pride in achieving excellence through hard work and passion.I am a part of the National Society of Leadership & Success (NSLS), Golden Key International Honour Society, and Professional Accounting Student Society (PASS). I have collaborated with members of these organizations and had the privilege to network with professionals. I’ve gained valuable communication and teamwork skills as a direct result.I’ve had experience working in the accounting sector and have been Microsoft Office Specialist certified (MOS). I’ve learned to overcome adversity with a critical mindset, adaptability, and a smile on my face. I believe that respect and integrity are the most fundamental aspects of a professional in any field. I incorporate these fundamentals into my very being every day. Currently, I am working at Sidley Austin LLP to make a name for myself in the accounting field. My job is to shadow professionals and assist in office preparations at a top 10 law firm in the United States. I really enjoy my job. I am surrounded byprofessionals with archives of insight. I am constantly learning new ways to increase my own value and insight. I regularly attend discussion boards and had the opportunity to meet some of the heaviest hitters in the practice.I want to start my own accounting practice and open multiple branches across theUnited States. I've always wanted to become an accountant. I grew up aroundaccountants and have seen the flexibility and success the field can provide.
