A market leader in fire & smoke control equipment with large clients in the UK & international construction industry. Responsibilities included working as part of the engineering department on new product development, improving exisiting products with regards to performance & manufacturing efficiency, testing for British & International standards, & introducing & demonstrating the capabilities of Solidworks to the company. Also collaborating with other departments in the business, including producing marketing material for the companies re branding using product CAD models & photorealistic rendering using Solidworks.Design work also included working on bespoke active projects with special requirements, integrating Coopers products into architects drawings to check fit, set parameters for building work (e.g. building slab pouring specs), visualisation of the product to the client, & producing full technical drawings & 3D files for manufacturing & installation.The introduction & implementation of Soldiworks Driveworks to the company was also a large part of the role, demonstrating the system in the context of the company, highlighting the benefits to the sales & manufacturing departments.

Responsible for mechanical and composite design of flight simulator visual systems, specifically the mechanical structures associated with mounting the visual system. Along with the composite screen and enclosure components, and carrying out FEA to test and tune high performance structures up to and beyond industry standards.

Responsible for both mechanical and composite design of components and assemblies for high fidelity Aircraft Cabin Crew Training Simulators for international clientele such as Air France, Virgin Blue, Embraer, and S7.

Mechanical, Composite and Advanced Composite design of bespoke high end Cabin Crew Training systems for commercial airlines.Using SolidWorks (2005 and 2008), and working under ISO: 9001.Other responsibilities included checking incoming components i.e. machined and laser cut parts, for dimensional accuracy, quality, material, and finish.
