Research assistant in a Medical Research Council-funded research project investigating art-based interventions and participatory approaches to improve the mental health of children from migrant backgrounds living in the UK. My involvement within this research has provided me with an initial insight and understanding of the experiences and health needs of migrant populations, to assist in the running of workshops with UK based migrants and asylum seekers, as well as methodological approaches for carrying out research and meaningfully involving diverse migrant communities.

Working within an Early Phase Clinical Trial Unit in London, I assisted in the screening and recruitment phase of clinical trials. Often 'first-in-human' studies investigating the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of the Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP).Specifically, I bridged the gap between the recruitment of volunteers to the point of dosing.
