At Civitai, I defined, wireframed and released a LoRA trainer for the platform (i.e. anyone can train their own Stable Diffusion model.). I also built and ran the hiring process for new roles on the engineering team.Civitai is in the top 10 largest AI sites in the world, by traffic volume. It is the home of thousands of high-quality Stable Diffusion models, where users can also create and share AI generated art and models.

Civi is building a mobile app that makes cities safer by providing security-related information and notifications in real time to our users. At Civi, I built the Product and Engineering in Brazil from scratch and grew the team from 0 to 9. I was a member of leadership team, responsible for 9 direct reports across product/eng.On the product side, I was also hands-on. I designed new features and improved existing ones to focus on engagement and retention, including: Commenting, Featured Events, Following Locations, and Push Notifications.

As Head of Product, I was a member of the leadership team responsible for 9 direct reports across product, customer success and implementation. I built all product processes (e.g. ticketing, prioritization, feature requests, roadmapping, etc.), and the core product team from scratch.I brought a design and data-driven mentality to the org by establishing V1 of a data analysis pipeline with integrated data streams from Pendo, SalesForce, Zendesk, GA and Postgres/MySQL. I also contributed to writing product requirements and setting the bar for internal designs.Strategically, I drove the vision for building world-class enterprise B2B software and saw results in improved customer onboarding times, NPS scores and MAU increases.
I took time off from FT employment to:Travel, write music, and work on side businesses.

In this position, I was performing a double-duty role on the Creative Quality team -- Product Manager and Engineering Team Lead. The Creative Quality team was a distributed engineering team that built software for AppNexus’ ad-review pipeline, a $MM-revenue-generating business, which was critical to ad delivery and securing the platform from bad actors. On the Product side, I focused on increasing total throughput via automation to meet new growing business needs. I defined a 4Q+ roadmap to eventually shift the entire model from 100% manual review (done by remote users) to 100% automated review (utilizing Machine Learning). This process had multiple phases, required defining/building entirely new products, and fitting them into an existing complex system with minimal engineering resources. Shifting the model also required cross-functional partnership with multiple teams, including Data Science, Eng., Product, and Customer Services.Additionally, I defined metrics and KPIs at the team level to drive results, and prioritized an existing backlog containing a mix of tickets from 5+ years. And finally, I wrote specs and led cross-functional products to support new client business that was critical to AppNexus strategy. From an Engineering Leadership perspective, I sought to remove technical debt, and single points of failure. As the hiring manager with direct reports, I scaled the team through hiring, and stabilized the team through consistent and transparent leadership. I conducted comp reviews and provided day-to-day guidance, mentorship, added reasonable structure to the team, and supported code-reviewing and increasing standardization of our software development lifecycle. Despite additional structure, the team continued to perform well, had multiple top performers, and was incredibly lean and flexible.

As the lead analyst on a special projects team I was primarily focused on running on a cost-benefit analysis on a build-versus-buy scenario. I ran large data analyses to compare efficacy between an existing application and an external vendor that were designed to protect external publishers from malware and other bad ads. The work and recommendations were presented to senior leadership and affected a multi-million-dollar decision.

I worked on AppNexus’ largest (>500,000 QPS) and most strategic external supply integrations: Google, Yahoo, Facebook, and MoPub (now part of Twitter). While in this role, I built new processes to support these integrations, defined a client tiering structure and automated existing workflows. I also wrote specs for products and aided in product prioritization.
