Wanting to create things but being bad with scissors and glue got me behind a keyboard at a young age, breaking and hacking old DOS computers and creating webpages at the time of dial-up internet (nobody needed to see those anyway, so they were good at localhost..). I've been calling myself a webdeveloper since age 11 when the first webpages got a public URL. I turned the hobby into a job quickly, with a few detours in journalism and writing and graphic design. Over the years the front-end development opened doors into understanding the back-end part of development and logically that led to getting a grasp on devops and server-management.All this experience is now applied as an IT manager where this broad scope of knowledge can be applied to make sure every part of the process is handled correctly by the right people.
