Alex Torpey has worked for nearly fifteen years to find ways to improve the systems we use to govern through studying, exploring, teaching, and directly implementing predominately in and around local government. From serving as mayor of his hometown of South Orange at age 23, an adjunct professor in Seton Hall’s MPA program, a municipal manager, an entrepreneur and consultant, an emergency management director and volunteer EMT, and mentor and speaker, Alex brings together diverse experiences and a creative mindset to help provide us a platform to rethink how we govern, manage, and think about the future of our communities, our republic, and ourselves.
