I was born and raised in a small town called Wrens, Georgia. Here I was exposed to many different things and this is where I learned what hard-work, dedication, and compassion can do for me through my surroundings and experience. I am currently an Undergraduate student at the University of Georgia. I am currently majoring in Nutritional Sciences and majoring in the pre-professional degree of Pre-Dentistry. Throughout my educational career as a student, I have always been an exceptional student. While continuing my studies at UGA (University of Georgia), I hope to continue to be a proficient student by learning and utilizing the information I have learned to pursue my passion of going to dental school to become an orthodontist. What inspired me to want to become an orthodontist was my personal experience with braces and my orthodontist. Through my experience when I had my braces, the staff, and the time I had them I gained confidence in myself through my smile and they sent me off with an array of goodies that made me even happier. This inspired me because I want to be able to give someone that confidence that will change their life the way it did mine. That moment when I got them off, is what inspired to want to change people’s lives through orthodontist industry. Going to UGA, I got to experience a place more diverse and has more to offer than little Wrens. Through this experience I am learning how to learn and see how other people become successful. I hope in my undergraduate that I can become a part of at least a fraction of the organizations and opportunities offered at UGA. Being here, I have access to so many more opportunities than I could even imagine in Wrens. My short terms goals are to graduate as honors for my undergraduate degree, getting a leadership role in a student organization, and to also participate in community service and volunteer activities, to graduate as honors for my undergraduate degree, and to go to the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. My long-term goals are to graduate from dental school with my DMD/DDS in the top percentile of my class so I can qualify for residency to get my orthodontics license. Once doing that, I plan to go work at my grandfather’s dentistry practice for experience before going into residency for orthodontics.I am extremely eager to learn, experience, adapt and connect!
