I started my career as a local tour guide at Philippine Tarsier Foundation at the age of 18. My main task there was to guide tourists to where the tarsiers are spotted on and talk about the foundation and the tarsier's background. The experience molded my communication skills since it is a customer-facing type of work where you really have to converse with different people with different nationalities. Then, the Covid-19 struck the country and the foundation has to let go some employees and I was one of those employees they've let go. However, that didn't discouraged me, I applied at TaskUs as a Customer Service Representative and fortunately I got hired. I've learned a lot during my 9-month stay at TaskUs. I become the September's Top Agent and Q3's Top Agent. I also got the chance to improve my communication, was able to analyze critical things, and most importantly become a good team player.
