I'm helping Smart Cloud with management of client projects from product perspective making sure that developers are working on the right things and clients focusing on the right goals to ship products and features as soon as possible and with the best results possible.

Founding Smart Cloud was a natural progression of my consulting career. I've gotten very good at architecting software and at integrating client/server apps. My team grew, projects grew, and responsibilities grew with them. I've been wearing multiple hats: CTO, developer, manager, marketer, sales, tech team lead, non-tech team lead, etc.These days I still actively code (Rails and iOS) and take on managerial/lead role. I build software products for our clients helping them from a feature/product standpoint and from a software implementation/technology perspective. At the same time I talk to clients and prospects, sell Smart Cloud consulting services, organize other developers workflow, architect software, streamline company's cash flow, interview and hire, network, and research on new technologies that potentially will be the next great tool for building software products.

At Journy I was responsible for building the core iOS product and Rails JSON API for it. Successfully delivered first version of the app in 3 months.

I was helping clients build software products top to bottom from MVP phase through several iterations and pivots. On some projects I was working solo and was responsible for entire tech stack (usually Rails/iOS) on other projects I was leading teams of up to 3 developers. In almost every case I was the point of contact for stakeholder working directly with them. I helped them understand the business problem they are seeking to solve and what technological or automation solution would be the best fit.Managerial tasks and responsibilities include business problem analysis, project planning, agile project organization, team leading, client/team communication.Technical tasks and responsibilities include Rails, iOS, and Javascript development or other technologies necessary for solving business problems and obstacles Smart Cloud clients meet.Solving many different technical challenges helped me grasp the big picture vision of software applications and systems. I became the architect level developer who picks the right tool/technology for the problem instead of fixating on one "hammer"​ or "a cool shiny thing". I pride myself in being extremely good at architecting systems and integrating server APIs with client apps.

I was volunteering at RubyNuby meetup classes in New York University. Was helping to teach students Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
