I am most passionate about 6 things in life: learning, science, technology, helping other people, traveling, and leaving the world a better place than I found it. I worked at CenturyLink for 12 years on their Internet Service Provider network and their internal IT network. During this time, I wore many different hats. I have managed multi-million-dollar engineering projects and budgets. I have also designed, engineered, deployed, and maintained networks that pass terabits of traffic each day. I've performed large complex network migrations from one equipment vendor to another, as well as large network build outs in new locations. I’ve created golden configuration standards for network elements and built volumes of technical documentation to help consistently implement those standards. I have also built out data analytics dashboards for reporting on network health, and I’ve helped to implement SDN/NFV solutions to drive cost down and increase service deployment speed. I have a total of 17 years of experience in Information Technology, and I feel capable at this point in my career of teaching myself whatever I need to learn to get the job done.
