I helped to take care of children and entertain them for the day, which while it was just a summer job taught me a huge amount of patience!

I worked to provide personal care to residents in a Nursing Home, with the intention of making them feel as at home as possible. This work varied from activities like painting to attending to personal needs and provided a huge emotional and physical challenge. I learnt the importance of planning and working as a unit in a workplace where there was always another job that needed doing, and hugely benefited from that. It also gave me a valuable insight into the positive and negative effects of drug treatments.
