Associate Cybersecurity Engineer
CurrentAs an Individual Contributor with T-Mobile on an Application Security - Data team, I work on both short and long term initiatives to protect the largest and fastest nationwide 5G carrier from both internal and external threat actors. - Utilize Imperva DRA and SonarK to identify abnormal and suspicious database behavior, alerting managers and internal partners of such activity, and working with managers on how to remediate such violations. - Perform administrative, analysis, and technical correspondence regarding Trustwave DbProtect, a tool which detects database vulnerabilities across MySQL, SQL, Oracle, and Cloud databases; including databases with PCI, PII, SOX, USGCI, and CPNI. - Report on sensitive plaintext data findings through Varonis Data Classification Engine, DCE, identifying stale and sensitive data, and providing support to data owners on how to best remediate violations through disposal, encryption, or other techniques.- Speadheaded a deferral exception process, ensuring that all security requirements and violations are either remediated or receive executive approval to be tabled until fixable. - Assisted in ongoing major Cybersecurity initiatives, including CyberShield, as part of a campaign to give all TMO FTE/NTWs & store employees a physical YubiKey security key. - Created materials and documentation for non-technical users regarding their active role in keeping employee, customer, and personal information safe.
