Tech lead for Main Street Hub's Infrastructure team.- Maintain and participate in on-call rotation and act as incident commander during on-going service outages for AWS and third-party integrations. Responsibility to direct the Infrastructure team in resolving incidents and communicating status to company stakeholders.- Work with product team in order to set goals and prioritize tasks.- Mentor and train engineers on Main Street Hub engineering best practices, assist with code reads, and provide guidance and assistance during deploys.- Tech lead and architecture design for systems securing customer secrets using modern, industry standard best practices including envelope encryption built on top of AWS KMS.- Design and led effort on project to improve visibility and response times when dealing with authentication issues for Main Street Hub customer's on third party platforms. Worked with product management, multiple engineering teams and content ops in order to help plan and design the effort.- Led effort to migrate to Google My Business API.

Senior Engineer on Main Street Hub's Infrastructure team, responsible for cloud infrastructure, content infrastructure, and continuous integration and continuous deployment.As a Senior Engineer on the Infrastructure team I led many efforts to help maintain and improve systems utilized by Main Street Hub's Product Engineering and Content Operations teams including:- Migrating micro-services from Java deployments running on Amazon EC2 instances to Amazon ECS. Including updating the build and deployment process to leverage Docker for improved resource utilization and security.- Rewrite of the content service which is the bedrock for providing responses to Main Street Hub's 10,000 customers on Facebook, Yelp and TripAdvisor, in order to improve reliability, implement engineering best practices, and improve testing and visibility. Overall, nearly 15,000 lines of code were eliminated and the project has gone from requiring two engineers full-time for maintenance and bug fixes to requiring very little maintenance.- Upgrade of Main Street Hub's batch processing systems, including Airflow and EMR, to provide the capability to scale out on demand and improve stability.

Senior developer, data processing, API development, and operations. Nuve designs and builds internet-connected devices, including locks and sensors, to protect fuel and cargo assets around the world.* Architect and developer on Nuve's GPS data ingress platform. Built on AWS, for low to zero downtime deployments to ensure availability of customer data and connectivity of Nuve devices.* Designed and implemented protocols for data transfer, command, and control of cameras and locks over low bandwidth, high latency cellular networks.* Using Terraform, Amazon ECS, and Amazon Kinesis helped Nuve implement best practices in continuous deployment and automated testing to build a robust platform.

Senior engineer, data ingress and distributed systems.* Helped scale and harden Boundary’s server metrics platform, built using Kafka, ZooKeeper and OpenTSDB.* Worked with Boundary Operations to provide round-the-clock support for production systems to ensure availability for Boundary’s customers.

Introduced new best practices for monitoring, testing and scalability.* Helped architect and code 21CT's cyber security data load framework, with integration with Netflow, FireEye and other sources built on top of Apache Karaf.* Implementation of a Java web server using Dropwizard, which powered 21CT's Medicare fraud detection and analysis capabilities.
