Responsible for overall administrative operations including finance and accounting, purchasing, human resources, information systems, plant operations, research safety and security, public affairs and communications, and office support systems, as well as oversight of development programs and affiliated organization relations. The Associate Director for Administration is a full member of the Senior Leadership, and via membership on the Executive Committee and Leadership Group, is a key contributor to setting strategic direction, policy and priorities for the Lurie Cancer Center.

Summary:- Oversee the day to day operations and implement the strategic plan- Ensure the organization operates at maximum efficiency while providing high quality care- Responsible for planning, implementing, directing, monitoring and promoting current and new cancer programs and services- Responsible for leading the strategic and business planning initiatives in collaboration with the Cancer Center Director- Formulating budgets and ensuring appropriate profitability and/or revenue maximization - Developing and implementing appropriate marketing and promotional tools to communicate the core messages of the cancer program- Assessment of programmatic needs and preparation and implementation of program activities and initiatives - Participating regularly and proactively in the identification and resolution of existing system wide issues as they arise- Identification and/or evaluation of business opportunities and collaborative relationships which will advance the vision and goals of the overall cancer program- Evaluation and mentoring of the oncology management team

Responsible for management of the 3 core areas of the medical center (clinic, education, research) and about 60 staff, including physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, nurses, and support staff. Worked closely with medical faculty and the resident physicians on issues related to clinic operations, operating budgets, and capital investments. Academic responsibilities included: Resident selection and education, Radiation Therapy student selection and education, symposiums and seminars. Research responsibilities included: fund management, clinical trial approvals and monitoring, grant submission and management, RTOG, COG, and NCCN collaborationKey Accomplishments:• Patient Satisfaction of 98.2% , highest in the Medical Center• Annual revenue in access of $160M (>$50M increase)• Annual expense <$7M ( renegotiation of service contracts, “green” initiatives)• More than 26,000 treatments delivered annually ( average growth of 11% YOY)• Opened a new department in the Prentice Women’s Hospital on time and on budget• Revised charge capture master (98.5% of billing is accurate and posted within 24 hours)• Negotiated, procured, installed and commissioned multiple CT Simulators and Linear Accelerators, including a Gamma Knife Perfexion (~$15M capital investment)

Summary:- To raise funds and awareness for research into new treatments and cures for pediatric cancers, with an emphasis on neuroblastoma- To insure continued funding of the Mark Staehely Treasure Chest Program at Lurie Children's Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Hospital- To raise funds for the Mark Staehely Memorial Scholarship Fund- To provide support and encouragement to children and families in their time of need.

Hospital is a 1,061-bed major academic and referral center with Level 1 trauma status and Michigan's first Magnet-designated hospital for nursing excellence. The hospital ranks first in the United States for inpatient admissions and second for its number of surgeries.As a staff radiation therapist in Radiation Oncology, I was responsible delivering daily radiation treatments, including all accompanying simulations and CT simulations. Worked under a supervision of various Senior Radiation Therapists.
