Responsibilities include mentoring and helping a team of R&D engineers who are building security services to scan and detect Infrastructure as Code vulnerabilities and misconfigurations .

Cloud Conformity (acquired by Trend Micro Inc.)

* Design and implementation of a utility module which helps modeling and parsing AWS CloudFormation templates.* Create a solution to compose various functionalities that could be applied on CFN templates including adding/removing resources, adding/removing parameters, importing/exporting a template, defining/resolving intrinsic functions inside a template, etc.*Design and implementation of a transformation engine which helps running a set of transformation scripts (transducers) on a stream of input values based on a script matching mechanism.* Using the library to transform AWS CloudFormation templates to AWS describe API format.

To achieve this goal, first we needed to provide a way of integration with sandbox code execution environments like scripting engines, shell based JVM runtimes and the like to be able to execute REPL engine rules against input data. Second, in addition to code execution mechanism, we used best practices to build a highly flexible route for event data submissions both for streams of input data and batch files. Finally, we were also supposed to provide a repeatable streaming output for all listeners using state of the art technologies like AMQP based messaging systems, SSE unidirectional connections and the like.High level architecture of the service has its roots mostly in DDD methodology in conjunction with some of the useful patterns in OOAD world in order to keep up with open-closed principles.
