Initiated the strategic futures function, ultimately leading to its development as a new commercial offering. Led small, cross-functional teams in order to spread capability throughout the business and to ensure technical quality of outputs. Conducted internal learning and development sessions to upskill staff in key areas of futures work.Led a project for a critical stakeholder to develop an agreed upon set of strategic roadmaps to inform action in the UK drone service industry. Identified critical challenges and interventions necessary to build the competitive advantage of the UK in this field. Outputs of this project continue to be used by a number of stakeholders when defining and evaluating projects. Leveraged my experience as a teacher to design and run structured workshops, gathering and analysing inputs from individuals across industry. The success of these sessions was critical in helping the Catapult to move into new areas and build credibility across industry, government and academia when doing so.

Working in the CTO team to deliver the TSC’s Technology Strategy for IM. Organisation and delivery of foresight projects including the Urban Mobility 2030 project and ensuing external engagement. Responsible for leading the process through which the TSC identified key strategic focus areas for action and initial options for intervention.

As a team leader I was responsible for teams of between 15 and 30 teachers on a range of key projects including the company's two largest clients. I hired, trained and monitored the teachers in order to deliver outstanding service in line with the clients' requirements. I took on leading roles in the introduction of a number of technological tools to the area, including a successful pilot of virtual classes and the transference of our record taking process to an android based app. I was specifically assigned to the highest profile and most demanding clients. By constantly making a point of getting to the root cause of any problems I was able to design and implement improvements and avoided losing any major clients in the three years I performed this role.
