I am the Business Controller of SEDA Outspan Iberia , based in Palencia (Spain) and dedicatedto the food industry, manufacturing soluble coffee, FMCG. Our customers are the topEuropean retail chains.SEDA is owned 100% by Olam International listed in Singapore with Corporate Headquartersin Singapore and London and IT Headquarters in Chennai, India.I joined this position within the Finance Department 9 years ago, after a hard process ofacquisition and restructuring, to contribute to the turnaround and growth of the business, focusing on dataanalysis, reporting and processes , such as information flow, operational efficiency tracking, direct & indirect costs, results consolidation, budgeting, stocks, customer profitability, CAPEX…During this challenging, though satisfying time I have managed to build tools which have considerably reduced reporting time and complexity of business data , contributing to the Finance team moving fromunderperformance to Star performance for the last 8 years (top 5 out 367 teams in Olam). PnL and CostsAnalysis was my main goal, having a thorough understanding of business, providing analysis and solution from any angle required: account, product or customer wise. Sales team has also benefited from these tools, giving it the support to negotiate profitable prices . On the Operations side, I started calculating and reporting the main operational KPIs, which were not accurately available, and, for the past 4 years, I have actively contributed to strategic decisions during the pandemics in 2020 and energy prices crisis in 2022. I belong to an 11-person team (including Accounting, Finance & Controlling), being for the last 5 years the lead of three and reporting to the CFO and CEO.I am in charge of running our month-closing process as well as reporting Finance results (local andconsolidated), Operations reporting ( plant efficiency metrics ) and Sales profitability ( product, customer and manufacturing line wise), all working with SAP . Before being involved in FMCG, I was Programme Controller for Airbus Defense & Space, in the division of MRTT Derivatives, where I rotated in two of the main programmes at that time and reporting to the Senior Programme Controller.Kind regards;
