Clients: Natural Resources Defense Council and Alliance for Community Transit - Los Angeles

Managed the development of engineering plans, construction specifications, estimates of construction cost, and technical reports for expanding commuter rail infrastructure between LA and San Diego, CA. Worked with San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) to deliver projects with the CM/GC (Construction Management/General Contractor) method of project delivery. The Elvira to Morena Double Track project will improve train operations for NCTD's Coaster, Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner and BNSF freight services and is located next to the future Mid-Coast Corridor Light-Rail Transit line. The Mid-Coast project will connect downtown San Diego to the employment centers, and academic and healthcare institutions in Sorrento Valley and University City.

Designed commuter rail track alignment and grading plans and managed the rail team designing the East Corridor (now operating as the A Line) on the Denver Eagle P3 Rail Design Build Project. In other regions including Southern California and Chicago, IL, I developed transit planning reports, engineering plans, construction specifications and cost estimates for public agencies and private sector clients. Managed client relationships and developed strategic analysis of company-wide cross-discipline capability. Actively used Microstation and InRoads transportation geometric design software.

Designed and managed the development of track alignment, grading design and train station expansion for various transit, passenger rail and freight rail clients. Developed transit planning reports, engineering plans, construction specifications and engineer's estimates of probable construction cost for agencies such as Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA), Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink), North County Transit District, San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) and Alameda Corridor East (ACE). Actively used Microstation and InRoads transportation geometric design software.

Managed preliminary engineering submittals to Caltrans. Served as primary point of contact for clients and subconsultants. Developed cost estimates and participated in design of infrastructure improvement projects. Used AutoCAD for drafting.

Maintained city’s online Zoning and General Plan Land Use maps. Prepared exhibits for City Council and Planning Commission. Used AutoCAD and ArcView GIS.

Issued and tracked purchase orders for commercial property maintenance materials and services. Used AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop.

Drafted HVAC engineering drawings and collected data in HVAC field surveys. Issued and tracked contract documents, certificates and submittals.
