Hello! I'm Fons, a 3rd Year BS Management Information Systems Major at Ateneo de Manila University.Ever since I entered college, I began joining student organizations to accrue experience working with others in a job-like setting and expand my repertoire of skills, e.g. writing, presenting, and communicating with others.During my freshman year, I was briefly a Creatives Head for a Skills Training Workshop organized by Project LAAN (October–November 2022), before taking on the Publications Writer position for Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter's Education & Advocacy Department, authoring write-ups for their monthly publication materials over a period of seven months (November 2022–April 2023).From there, I became increasingly involved in the effective altruism community; I became a fellow in Effective Altruism Blue's 5th Cycle of their Introductory Fellowship program (March–April 2023), and then became one of two Project Heads for that very same program for its 6th Cycle, a position that I currently hold as of this writing (June 2022–present). I also attended the EAGxPhilippines conference recently, which took place at Rizal Park Hotel from October 20-22.Now, I am hoping to take on higher leadership roles, as I've learned that college is a great time to experiment, try out such roles, and expand my skills in the process.
