I have grown the Uganda Country Programme portfolio from an annual budget of under USD 2.5m to USD 7.5m; from 120 staff to 482 staff; and from 2 field offices to 9 field offices.I was proud to lead the team in winning two multiyear awards in 2022, the Mastercard Foundation-funded BRIDGE project, worth USD 24,563,089, and the Global Affairs Canada (GAC) Geared For Success (GFS) project, worth CAD 6,575,370. The Uganda team also secured UGX 1,412,788,986 in repeat funding from UNICEF. These grants are the largest in the history of the Uganda Country programme and position it as a leader in the education in emergencies sector, particularly in implementing Lower Secondary AEP and UPSHIFT.Led the implementation of education and livelihoods programs for refugees and displaced persons in Uganda, scaling partnerships with UNICEF and the Mastercard Foundation. Focused on empowering refugee youth through skills development and entrepreneurship programs, leveraging local resources to create sustainable solutions.I strengthened the War Child Canada commitments to the “Grand Bargain’ in the advancement of localization of the humanitarian sector. This included pioneering the organization's partnership with twelve local CSOs including Refugee Led organisations.I also led the pioneering of the Lower Secondary Accelerated Education Programme (AEP) in the Uganda refugee response, first as a pilot in 7 lower secondary schools and later to 34 schools in refugee settlements.

I took the lead in the research and production of one of a series of case studies on conflict and cooperation in the Equatorias. The case studies provided a deeper operational and scholarly understanding of developing dynamics in the Equatorias including economic life, culture, the management of diversity, histories of conflict and reconciliation and relationships between residents of the Equatorias and civilian and military authorities. This research was under AECOM Viable Support to Transition and Stability (VISTAS) project.
