My Dad made me read "How It Works" magazines when I was about 8 years old. A year or so later he bought me a Tandy TRS 80 personal computer for my birthday - I wanted a remote control car! We lived upstairs on top of our Milk Bar. Mum said I wasn't allowed to play "out in the streets" so I entertained myself by copying the BASIC code for the game "Frogger" from the programming manual...Today, I still find myself getting a "little" excited about "How Stuff Works", although these days, I'm presented a problem to then figure out rather "How Can It Work"... That process, the journey of discovering, designing, creating, validating, and thus growing, feels great.Before becoming an active director of a Digital Web Agency in 2011 - quickly learning the ropes of cashflow, operations, delivery, human resources, process, support, recruitment, sales and marketing - I spent the majority of my IT career across 3 continents specialising in enterprise system integration and technical architecture.
