Dr. Alfred Marc Iloreta brings a distinguished blend of expertise to Mount Sinai, where he serves as Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery and Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, completed a Master of Science in Neuroscience at Georgetown University, and underwent his residency and fellowship in Neuro-Rhinology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Thomas Jefferson University, respectively. Dr. Iloreta specializes in Skull Base Surgery and Rhinology.As System Director of Minimally Invasive Skull Base Surgery and the Director of Research at Mount Sinai, Dr. Iloreta leads innovative research in areas like neurostimulation for pain and stroke, intraoperative tumor fluorescence, and neuroplasticity of the olfactory epithelium. His clinical focus is centered on both open and endoscopic surgical treatment of paranasal sinus and skull base tumors, orbital tumors, and cerebrospinal fluid leaks, alongside pioneering therapies for inflammatory sinus disease.Dr. Iloreta is a co-Founder of Pharynvac, a cutting-edge biotech device company, enhancing his contributions to medical technology with numerous patents and surgical devices.
