Greetings! I'm Alfredo Meyer, an Operations Manager II at Amazon and an MBA candidate at the University of Florida. With a BS in Industrial Engineering and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, I'm on a mission to drive excellence in operations and continuous improvement.My journey at Amazon has been a dynamic one, where I lead a team of 240+ associates and 2 leaders. Together, we manage inbound logistics and storage , always focused on quality, cost, and safety. I'm known for my knack for innovation, especially when it comes to Lean Six Sigma. One of my notable achievements was leading a project that reduced water usage at the Frito Lay plant in Orlando, FL by 4%. I have also worked in two LSS projects at my current role in Amazon, one being related to pallet utilization and another in the damage-land department.My experience extends to PepsiCo, where I had the opportunity to work as a Supply Chain Intern. This role allowed me to dive deep into various aspects of the supply chain, from production and warehousing to transportation and quality. I facilitated work team meetings, drove continuous process improvement, and took the lead on LSS projects that reshaped raw materials storage and improved quality.Outside the corporate world, I also served as a Water Polo Referee, traveling to national competitions and contributing to the growth of this exciting sport. This role was directly connected to one of my favorite hobbies which is playing water polo (soccer in the water). I also love trying new foods, playing padel/soccer, and some traveling. I'm passionate about operations, process optimization, and making a positive impact on the businesses I'm a part of.
