- Audit repair facilities to ensure internal and external regulatory compliance, safety, and quality procedures. - Primary focus on tank car facilities, but have a solid background on most car types. - Identify and resolve non conformances and/or regulatory issues and implement changes when needed; participate in the resolution of Quality Escapes and Customer Complaints.- Participate in industry events and serve in various AAR Task Force efforts to assist in implementing Federal regulations into industry standards.- Ensure billing repair cards and related documents accurately describe tank car associated repairs.- Extensive travel in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

- Manage and control Quality Assurance functions in large Class B repair facility.- Direct QC inspectors and shop supervisory personnel on daily basis to ensure regulatory compliance.- Work close to NDE Level III in developing training programs and documentation to suit our written practice. Manage the program at the shop level.- Administer practical exams after Level I & II training completion in Visual, Penetrant and Bubble Leak Testing methods.- Review and schedule all NDE training needed.- Develop shop repair procedures and provide technical training to mechanical employees.- Translate repair procedures, standards and regulations to Spanish for the non-English speaking work force.- Work with engineering department on large programs to secure instructions and drawing packages needed for shops.- Responsible for documentation submittal to car owners for the inspection and repair of tank cars. Complete and control R-1, R-2, SS-3, 88B2 and other tank qualification related paperwork.

Sioux City, Iowa Area

- Managed and controlled Quality Assurance functions in Class C repair facility.- In cooperation with sister shop in Miles City, MT, developed needed procedures to prepare facility for initial tank car audit by the AAR, shop closed for several years prior.- Developed repair procedures and provided technical training to mechanical employees in our repair shop.- Trained personnel responsible for the assembly, repair and testing of all service equipment on tank cars.- Reviewed, approved and scheduled all NDE training needs..- Responsible for documentation completion and submittal to car owners for the inspection and repair of tank cars. Complete and control R-1, R-2, SS-3, 88B2 and other tank qualification related paperwork.
