Since its establishment in 2005, the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM) has taken over 25 years of microfinance activities, programmes and banks that were administered by sister agencies within the Aga Khan Development Network. The underlying objectives of the Agency are to reduce poverty, diminish the vulnerability of poor populations and alleviate economic and social exclusion.AKAM is a not-for-profit, non-denominational, international development agency created under Swiss law. Its headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland. It is governed by an independent Board of Directors. The Chairman of the Board is His Highness the Aga Khan.

Provide effective & inspiring leadership to QFI's operations team, actively managing the day-to-day internal operations of all programs and services. Effectively scale, evolve & innovate existing operations, creating and implementing best practices, while being vigilant to eliminating bureaucracy, over-thinking & needless reporting. Utilize strong financial leadership skills both internally and with Partners to encourage aggressive growth with appropriate risk. Develop and implement the delivery of technical solutions through in-house expertise or strategic alliances, which support the growth of customer-focused microfinance institutions. Uphold and foster QFI values and culture, embedding a spirit of agility, entrepreneurialism, flexibility and appropriate risk in the internal operations of the company.

Developed the following:Pricing strategies, operational policies & procedures, Inventory policies & regulations, Marketing strategies, Sales regulations, Designing the credit vs. cash selling policies, Credit Rating criteria, development of Training manuals, human resources manual, Development and execution of a management training program, supervising the processing-related training, Discussing & designing industrial processes and work flows, leading the market research team, working with management to develop business plan, assisting the management to identify, depute, and delegate responsibilities to a team of core competence managers, putting together the practices necessary to ensure strict adherence to respective budgetary guidelines.
