Algimantas is traveling since year 1999. Experience – more than 20 climbs, treks and expeditions with various complexities. Participated in most advanced mountain expeditions in Caucasus, Tien Shan, Pamyr and ski-mountaineering expeditions in Putoran and Kodar mountains in Siberia. Leaded winter mountaineering-ski expeditions in Loppa, Chibyn, Ural and Sayan mountains. Has made an ascent to peak Korzhenevskaya (7105 m) in Pamyr mountains and traversed Marble wall (up to 6050 m) in Tien Shan mountains. Leaded first ascent to peak VUZK (6130m) during expedition leaded by Sarunas Zigmantas in Chinese Kunlun mountains in 2008. In summer 2012 he climbed Muztagh-Ata (7564m) mountain in China and was the first Lithuanian to ski down from the top.Algimantas was the leader of the first Lithuanian ski-kite expedition in Spitsbergen, Svalbard archipelago in 2010 and leader of the first Lithuanian Greenland ice-cap crossing expedition (unguided, unassisted, kite-supported) in 2011 .
