Omar is a senior member of the Global Strategy Group at KPMG ME, with over 19 years of experience across the US and Middle East regions, leading large-scale complex transformation programs, primarily in the GCC public sector. In my current role, I am actively engaged in shaping strategies and driving initiatives that promote social policy, economic growth, and sustainable development. I have a keen focus on areas such as education, employment and labor market, as well as innovation, entrepreneurship, economic competitiveness, and select sectoral development. These initiatives often involve navigating complex international relations dynamics to ensure alignment with global best practices and standards.Omar was nominated to serve on the Future Leaders Council of KPMG IMPACT, he also represents the KPMG Middle East on the International Development Advisory Services (IDAS) global Steering Committee. The group focuses its efforts on the global development sector strategy and is comprised of representatives from the World Bank Group, UN and the Green Climate Fund, and other global accounts teams. Before KPMG, Al Halabi held an advisory role at the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), in their investment management department, and helped to assess the socio-economic impacts of various investment proposals. While at the PIF Omar also defined priorities and helped with the setup of new SPVs. Omar led the Strategy and Business Development at Johnson Controls, Inc. for 9 years in the Middle East Region.
