I am a humanitarian development worker with over 10year's experience in managing and implementation of humanitarian programs in Kenya, Somalia and Nigeria ,e.g. i worked as Nutrition manager with Relief international in Somalia funded by USAID and UNICEF overseeing Mogadishu, Hiran and Gedo regions of Somalia,further more i have worked as a Zonal coordinator and later BCC coordinator in Gedo region of south central Somalia with Trocaire international managing the implementation of a DFID and IRISH AID funded program on Essential package of health (EPHS), i was also part of the team that supported the implementation of Somali round 8 global fund for HIV and Malaria while working as a HIV development advisor with a British charity organisation called Progressio! In Somaliland region pf Somalia, the program supported positive living initiative for HIV positive clients and impact of our work was internationally recognized when a local partner i was attached to known as “Talowadag coalition against HIV and Aids” was awarded an "international human rights award"for the support accorded to HIV positive clients, further more i also supported a DFID funded program called strengthening Nigeria's response to HIV(SNR) in Benue state in Nigeria,I have also been involved in health data collection,auditing,analysis and use of data in informing programs interventions and use the information generated for reporting purposes as per donor guidelines. Finally i have expirience of working with various donors e.g USAID(Ofda),DFID ,EU,ECHO,UNICEF, IRISH AID and Global fund.Technical skills:Health program design development, proposal and concept development , monitoring an evaluation, grant and budget management, Staff supervision, coaching and mentoring, report Writing, community conversation (CC),public and private sector engagement, trainings and capacity building of health care workers, developing health emergency preparedness plans ,facilitating marking of calendar events e.g Nutrition months, and experience in mainstreaming social behavioural change communication messages on health and nutrition programs. improvements , logistics and supply chain management of health commodities, building partnership supportive supervision of public health programs ,advocacy, social mobilisation Community engagement and expirience of managing programs onmainstreaming health messages and Nutrition messages through strategic behaviour change communication (SBC).strategies. .
