Undergraduate Research Assistant under the supervision of Professor Siavash MirarabConducted research on machine learning algorithms on DNA substrings for taxonomic classification.Key Contribution includes designing, implementing and testing a machine learning model that utilizes k-Nearest Neighbor to classify DNA substrings achieving up to 75% accuracy and precision on a dataset of 10,000 genomes facilitating more accurate classification over current heuristics.

President of Project in a Box, a student organization in UCSD's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering focusing on teaching key skills to students in engineering through hands-on projects and workshops.- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization leading a team of 32 officers.- Led the planning and presentation of the Fall General Body Meeting which saw a record attendance of 110 people.- Coordinated with the Project Director and Engineering Chairs to ensure the feasibility and execution of all 11 projects teams.- Coordinated with the Vice President External and Outreach Chair with regards to hosting monthly outreach programs for K to 12 audiences in the San Diego area.- Led the organization’s restructuring of the roles to accommodate its recent growth, creating two new roles. - Managed the logistics of the organization including planning the organization’s budget, planning events and projects, meeting for collaborations with other student organizations and companies.

- Managed a team of 12 tech leads, keeping tabs of up to 20 workshops and outreach events throughout the academic year including a 200-person showcase event which hosted up to 9 large-scale projects. - Lead a team of 4 people to design and build an arcade-style stall that allowed the user to play Tetris. This involved taking part in designing the stall, configuring the Raspberry Pi and implementing the software-hardware interface to allow for a swift response from the game to user input. Stall had up to 50 visitors who tried the project and played the game.

- Designed and Deployed 150 outreach kits for events aimed at teaching basic physics and engineering concepts to middle school students. - Hosted a workshop for 30 college students teaching them how to program their own Bot on Discord. Workshop involved the basics of Python programming using a Google Collab file for further explanation and how to use the Discord API to create their own chatbot. - Collaborated with other members in the organization to host other technical workshops for college students throughout the 10-week quarters.

Part of a team of ~10 students where we built an end-to-end BCI project that collected real-time data to allow the user to play a game of Tetris.- Oversaw the machine learning side of the project which was responsible for analyzing EGG signals.- Designed and implemented a machine learning pipeline that preprocessed and classified EEG signals using SVM across 7-channels to determine what move the user was thinking of while playing Tetris.- Project was presented at the 2024 California Neurotech Conference at University of California, Davis

Teaching assistant and grader for CSE30: Systems and Low-level Programming taught by Professor Paul Cao and Professor Keith Muller during the Spring Quarter overseeing a class of a size of 211 students. - Held in-person office hours every week throughout the academic quarter assisting students with course assignments to further ameliorate their understanding. Office hours involved debugging C and ARM Assembly code while explaining related concepts and debugging practices for students

Teaching assistant and grader for ECE101: Signals and Systems taught by Professor Saharnaz Baghdadchi during the Winter Quarter overseeing a class of a size of 137 students. - Held in-person office hours twice a week, every week throughout the academic quarter assisting students with course assignments to further ameliorate their understanding. Office hours involved answering practicing problems, debugging MATLAB code and answering students’ questions. - Led the design and implementation of the Balancing Beam Project, a hands-on project where students learn about system feedback by building a robot that attempts to balance a ball to the center of the beam; this served as an alternative to a midterm making it a practical way to examine student understanding.

Teaching assistant and grader for ECE65: Components and Circuits Laboratory taught by Prof. Saharnaz Baghdadchi during Fall Quarter overseeing a class of 74 students.- Held in-person office hours twice a week, every week throughout the academic quarter assisting students with course assignments to further ameliorate their understanding. Office hours involved answering practicing problems, debugging circuit simulations on LTSpice and answering students’ questions. - Led 3-hour lab sessions of 30 students which involved circuit building and testing; this involved explaining instructions, parts and safety practices while also assisting students with debugging their circuits.

Undergraduate Research Assistant under the supervision of Professor Michael YipContributed to "SuPerPM", a perception framework based deep point matching.-Designed and implemented a machine learning model using Pytorch that simulates tissue movements during deformation generating 500 different types of movements as a result of random and varied deformations. Data was used for benchmark testing the perceptive framework. - Created an interactive visualization framework in Python using Open3D to help in displaying and tracking tissue movements over 520 frames. - Implemented a Dockerfile that improved the environment setup runtime for the Surgical Perception framework from 7 hours to 10 minutes. - Worked on segmenting regions where deformations occurring in real tissue data across 700 frames to help establish a ground truth for testing.

- Led the development of the robot's drivetrain with the Mechatronics and Embedded Design Team- Implemented CAN BUS connection between the microcontroller (STM32 Board) and the motor-drives.

- Using my skills in circuitry and C++, I helped in prototyping and debugging a remote controller that communicates with the autonomous Go-Kart to assist further testing on the Go-Kart.- I also helped debug problems and inconsistencies in the motor drives to improve Go-Kart performance. Drive and turning speed improved by 5%

- Received training on using the various equipment the makerspace offered from 3D Printers to Laser Cutters.- Helped students with their projects by offering guidance on how to use the equipment available throughout a 10-week quarter.- Provided maintenance to the equipment to ensure that they operated as expected.
