For The Walrus, I wrote a memoir reflecting on my Palestinian background and my experience working in Syrian refugee camps in Greece as a refugee liaison. Over the course of three months, I helped facilitate communication and support for refugees, which gave me a unique perspective on the human stories behind one of the world's most pressing humanitarian crises. This deeply personal work captures the intersection of identity, resilience and the urgent need for global empathy.
