The MicroStrategy BI tool was chosen after a POC and evaluation phase. Sunopsis was used as the ETL tool. Retail banking and financial control business lines were targeted in this project.Project manager of the Data Mining Project. The first phase of this project targeted retail banking customers and products. Customer segmentation and credit cards usage analysis were accomplished using open source data mining tools. Propensity-to-buy analysis for all retail banking products were completed. Analysis results were examined and used for creating and monitoring campaigns within retail banking. The second phase of this project targeted SME banking customers and products.The project was supported by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) with a notable fund.Project manager and architect of the Core Banking CRM Project. This project consists of the extension of the core banking solution and the integration between core banking and BI environments. The new developed modules introduced the customer relationship managers at the branches to a new customer centric interface. This interface intended is serving insights regarding customer performance. Two different modules were designed for different needs of retail banking and SME banking. Analytical results obtained from the data mining and data warehousing platforms were fed back to the operational environment for customer relationship excellence.This project was important because of the role of closing the information and data cycle in the bank for 2 different banking business lines.

The old core banking system was replaced with an in-house developed J2EE based core banking application. All core banking modules were analysed and re-engineered for the most current demands of all business lines. Acted as team manager of the foreign trade development team. Manager of the data modeling and data access tuning group at the go-live stage of the project using SQL tuning techniques on Oracle and data model enhancement methods. EOD job optimisation and management responsibility was also handled by our data modeling group. I was also a member of the software infrastructure design group, responsible of taking critical design decisions during all stages of the project.Project manager and architect of the Credit Cards Data Mart and Multi-Dimensional Profitability Project. This project was based on the data model provided by Oracle within the OFSA solution. Profitability calculations and distributions of cost were implemented on OFSA and were run monthly. Profitability was calculated on customer, organisation, and product dimensions. This project was completed with the collaboration of the Oracle OFSA project team. The data mart created within this project is also being used for +100 reports generated and distributed mainly within the financial control unit.Project manager and architect of the Multi-Dimensional Profitability Project. After the successful completion of the formerly mentioned Credit Cards Profitability Project, the bank management requested immediate extension of this project to cover all banking products. All banking products in all lines of business were included in this project. Since the foundation of the profitability model was established in the former project, ETL was the major challenge in this project. This project was also completed with the collaboration of the Oracle OFSA project team.
