As a Radio and TV graduate and pursuing post graduate studies at the American University of Beirut (AUB), I had the opportunity of operating in the best of two worlds, academic and professional.Currently I am a second year post graduate student in the media studies department where I am learning about the influence of contemporary media and conceptualizing gaming in media.At the same time, I started my own business to produce animations for different local and international clients. The animations, videos and motion graphics that I directed and produced ranged from academic ones, to professional ones for diverse NGO’s promoting tolerance, freedom and togetherness with many other high-profile projects in between.The business grew quickly so I recruited and managed a multi-talented team to cover the whole production cycle (script, story board, graphic design, animation and sound effects, and quality assurance to get client’s approval). This has added to my technical knowledge a new dimension of managerial skills such as project and team management, quality assurance, structured production chain management, and collecting and analyzing client’s requirements.
