• Developed protocol to prepare, culture and maintain 𝘕𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢 with limited resources by adapting methods in the literature.• Statistics and visualization of sporulation abundance using R coding program. • Collaborated in setting up and optimizing high-speed Photron camera optics and lighting to capture sporulation of 𝘕𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢• Dissected, stained and documented microscopic 𝘕𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢 perithecia and spore samples to identify structures with microscopes, scalpels, thin instrumentations and Neubauer chamber. • Utilized C++ Arduino program and sensor to measure temperature and humidity of 𝘕𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢 chamber.• Aided in creating magnetic bacteria models and sample platforms via drafting 2D drawings and models with PDMS, in acrylic templates. The design was done in AutoDesk Fusion program. Measurements of collective behavior are ongoing work.

• Developed a multiplex PCR protocol for identifying β-lactamase antibiotic-resistant genes in local wastewater by adapting methods in the literature. • Pioneering assay development focused on experimental efficiency, multiplex data collection, less resource consumption, and waste production.• Co-developed internal laboratory methods for collecting coastal environmental plastic samples to analyze unique microbiome characteristics over time. • Performed DNA extraction on marine environmental plastic samples to prepare for PCR and qPCR.• Performed 16S rRNA library preparation protocols on low biomass samples extracted from environmental plastics.• Performed quality control throughout DNA extractions and PCR experiments using Qubit, Nanodrop and gel electrophoresis.
