About Ali Coles

I am an Art Psychotherapist working for the UK National Health Service in adult mental health and perinatal teams. I am also a Visiting Lecturer on the MA Art Psychotherapy course at the University of South Wales. I am passionate about the importance of investigating art psychotherapy practice, including innovative approaches, and sharing the learning; I have co/authored several articles for peer-reviewed journals and have co-edited two books. I am an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Art Therapy, a lead Associate Editor for the Journal's New Practitioner and Early Career Researcher Prizes, and a co-guest editor for a special issue on art therapy for people who have experienced trauma. I am currently working on a PhD by Publication, developing a model of practice-based research within art psychotherapy.Twitter: @AliColes3
