My passion in life is to make things work better – whether that be a project I am involved in, a working partnership that needs closer attention or the evolving of new ideas into a reality. I have so much experience focusing on young people and local communities, transforming the projects and organisations that help them and impact on their daily lives, yet I have so much more to give. Being a national expert in services for young people and previously head of youth programmes means I have the qualities required to improve facilities and make them world class.My core values of honesty, diligence, support, flexibility, compassion and determination mean I am quick and eager to pick up any challenge and run with it to its satisfactory conclusion. Key assets of mine include developing strategic relationships and teams, problem resolution, challenging poor practice or inequalities while maximising opportunities and partnerships.My main aim is to develop first class facilities for young people and communities that incorporate health and wellbeing, sport, community arts, youth participation and leadership, citizenship and rights and responsibilities while developing staff to be the best they can.Away from the work place, I love socialising, travelling and cooking. I work hard so I value the time to reflect and recharge while staying motivated and focused on tasks ahead. I am quick at picking up skills and adapting to ever-changing concepts.
