- Responsible for all R&D projects, support subordinate leaders and staff members to meet schedules and resolve technical or operational issues.- Accomplishes results through other managers and by leading a significant team of scientific associates.- Develop and assures adherence to R&D Assay related budgets, resources, schedules work plans and monitors performance standards.- Key decision maker within the projects overseen.- Work on issues where analysis requires an in-depth understanding of confectionery industry.- Develop policies to ensure effective achievement of scientific objectives (implements policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.)- Plan and drive procedural and organizational change management within R&D.- Conduct briefings and technical meetings for leadership team level staff within and across functions.- Frequent contacting with equivalent level managers from different functions (Compliance, FP&A, Budgeting, Operations, Quality etc…), businesses and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements or contractual clarifications.- Interact externally with current/prospective customers, vendors, etc. on a periodic basis.- Review project progress with the Director of Quality, HSE, R&D, SupplyChain-Operation Director.- Accountable for facilitating career blueprints and skills development for direct and indirect reports.- Model a strong focus on talent development of associates to strengthen departmental capabilities and to ensure an effective succession plan.

- Work directly with the Business Unit, cross-functional team, plants, and vendors as the R&D project leader to drive execution and direct both product and package developers across multiple projects.- Perform functions to facilitate the development of new products and formulas as requested by corporate sales, customers, and Marketing teams.- Research and incorporate new flavors, ingredients and processes into new product ideas.- Create and edit formulas, processing procedures, finished product specifications, and customer specifications.- Collaborates with operations to optimize processes and production for existing items within the limits of product specifications.- Manage the budgets for projects and platforms.- Act as technical/commercialization expert and coach for shared developers.- Responsible for commercialization of new and reformulated products and successful transition from development to operations.- Actively participate in food safety programs that ensure the safety of ingredients and finished products.- Works within Egyptian and international regulations in the development of product labels.

- To analyze new equipment or technology to implement into the production process.- Research and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency.- Supporting R&D leads (Dairy, Juice and New Categories) to match current, innovated and renovated recipes to be applied at BEYTI factory.- Determine process capability for all developed processes.- To use technical knowledge and industry expertise to review existing manufacturing production lines and plan cost-effective production processes.- Ensure that process techniques are in alignment with the quality policy.- Evaluate current processes and provide recommendations.- Communicate business and technical needs, status, results and observations to operating, technical and business personnel.- Provide training and guidance to senior Engineers as needed.- Identify and troubleshoot process-related issues.

- Manages and coordinates product development projects, - Evaluates and resolves technical feasibility, - Design optimization, and production issues, - Ensures that labelling and marketing/promotional literature match product specifications, - Researches and monitors existing client base and industry developments and identifies potential new product opportunities,- Works with other departments to establish a design, technology, product development, and vendor strategy, - Manages project budgets and prepares financial analysis reports for top management,- Work with the team to ensure the delivery and successful start-ups of new products, product improvement, cost optimization, ingredient, formulation, specification, or process changes,- Providing and ensuring accurate collation of information towards ingredient, recipe and finished product costings and towards the creation of product specifications,- Identifying, Sourcing, testing and specifying the use of new methodologies, equipment, ingredients, industrial natural flavourings, additives and processing aids to deliver new recipes and products,- Attending both internal customer product sampling panels as part of development cycle, evaluating results and achieving target product profile to achieve a successful launch,- Maintaining awareness of industry trends, consumer and market requirements.

- Observing, monitoring and identifying microorganisms;- Tracking of microorganisms in a range of environments;- Monitoring and assessing samples from a range of sources;- Using a variety of identification methods, including molecular techniques, to test samples;- Developing new techniques, products and processes;- Developing and planning methods to prevent the spread of contamination;- Developing and registering new preservatives and fermented products;- Growing microbial cultures, e.g. for use in the food and beverage industry or in agriculture;- Managing and overseeing laboratory work;- Planning and organizing resources and activities;- Following regular sampling schedules within a specific environment;- Collecting samples from different types of environments, such as agricultural sites, Processing areas, Packaging area and raw materials warehouses;- Quality control in manufacturing processes, e.g. checking for signs of contamination;- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records;- Writing up research findings and producing reports;- Keeping up with new research and attending national and international conferences and other events.

Assuring the good manner of all raw materials entering in all batches till delivering them to the hall of packaging of milk and juices & the hall of fermented products (the weight & quality of raw materials, the chemical analysis according to bill of materials & the thermal treatment, flows & pressures by visualising the SCADA system).- Follow up the processing lines,- Follow up & recording the CCPs points,- Assuring the data on utilized raw materials,- Assuring the good manner of all raw materials like S.M.P , W.M.P, pulps, concentrates, stabilizers, flavours and colours,- Delivering the end product to the packaging area in a good manner, free from residues and considering the chemical analysis according to the bill of material like pH., acidity, °Bx, T.S , S.N.F. density and fat.- Verifying thermal treatment for milk, Juices and yoghurt,- Verifying the flow of pasteurization and sterilization for milk, - Verifying the flow of sterilization for Juice,- Verifying the flow of pasteurization for yoghurt,- Verifying the homogenization process for milk, Juices and yoghurt,- Verifying the pressures of Milk pasteurizer, Cream pasteurizer, yoghurt pasteurizer, U.H.T units,- Regarding the chemical analysis of intermediate and final product to remark any difference which translated to loses.- Visualising the S.C.A.D.A system and checking the gauges at the same time to insure the effectiveness of sensors and gauges.- Verifying the time of Units like U.H.T, tanks, Milk pasteurizer, Cream pasteurizer and yoghurt pasteurizer to perform the C.I.P and S.I.P.

Assuring the good quality of products delivered from automation department (chemical analysis according to bill of materials) & the good manner of packaging like weights and the sterility of machines till delivering the final products to the warehouse.
