As a critical thinker known for my strong technical foundation, clear communication, and detailed problem-solving abilities, I am an ideal candidate for entry-level electrical engineering roles.MY CAREER PATHAfter graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, I took my career in a somewhat unconventional direction. I joined other engineers and scientists in the US Patent and Trademark Office, screening patent applications in highly technical areas such as internet, wireless, cellular, and networking technologies. Many people don’t realize the technical expertise that reviewing patent applications requires. Daily, I read and interpreted technical specifications, drawings, diagrams, and written product descriptions to quickly ascertain the unique nature of each invention. MY CAREER TARGETEver since gaining my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, I have been fascinated with the field, especially how my efforts can bring ideas to life. Many of my studies focused on research and design (R&D), In particular, I am drawn to:✴ 3D modeling and design.✴ Renewable energy, especially solar and wind.✴ Power distribution, grid modernization, and related design techniques and principles.I offer strong leadership skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and an intimate understanding of the interdependencies between components. WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO LATELYI channeled my technical prowess and love of classic cars to restore and customize Toyota Land Cruisers. In overhauling drivetrains, I utilized my knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and computer programming, as well as my mechanical aptitude. Discovering that full time restoration is not where my interests lie, I am refocusing on my electrical engineering knowledge base. I am committed to learning and expanding my skills as new ideas and technologies emerge. When I’m not working or restoring vehicles, you might find me camping, hiking, or otherwise enjoying the outdoors.
