I currently serve as the Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs for the industry-leading Universal Music Group, where my focus is to ideate, create and grow artist brands. I have special expertise in developing and optimizing brand recognition, including structuring and negotiating licensing, endorsement, spokesperson, and performer agreements and advising talent on intellectual property and right of privacy/publicity matters.Previously, I was a Partner at Eisner, LLP, where I focused on advising companies and individuals in the fashion, music, film, television, fitness, publishing and media industries. Prior to that, I was the founding partner of Marquart & Small, LLP, which was acquired by Eisner in 2017, and the Director of Business and Legal Affairs for Wilhelmina Models.I am also a serial entrepreneur, having co-founded Mavvy, a link management and analytics platform that tracks and measures e-commerce conversion through sale, as well as Cyan, a line of sustainably sourced, conscientiously crafted, responsibly packaged skincare that is a pioneer in the movement toward "circular beauty," where every element can be reused or recycled.I am an adjunct professor at the Fashion Law Institute at Fordham Law School, for which I created and teach the first-ever course on Fashion Modeling Law. I have written and lectured on an array of issues affecting the fashion and entertainment industries, most often with regard to social commerce and right of publicity.I am an Honoree of Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30 list (2015).
