I am a Data Scientist with eight years of experience spanning diverse domains, including law enforcement, health, finance, and weather. In my current role with the police force, I focus on developing cutting-edge data science applications to enhance policing practices.Beyond my work in law enforcement, I am a part-time Research and Development Consultant at MYPLATES. In this capacity, I have successfully implemented algorithms for suggesting personalized number plates across two states - NSW and Tasmania. Simultaneously, I hold the position of an Adjunct Fellow at UNSW, contributing to a research project focused on health data.My coding experience with Python is multifaceted, covering a spectrum of tasks, including explanatory data analyses, machine learning modelling, data visualization, and database operations. Leveraging Python, I also develop data science applications using libraries like Streamlit and FastAPI, embodying innovation and practical solutions in every project.Before my current role with the police force, I spent three years as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research. My academic journey includes a Ph.D. at the Centre for Intelligent Systems (CIS), School of Engineering and Technology at CQU. During this time, I worked on a project involving the prediction of weather attributes, utilizing neural networks, hyperparameter optimization, and ensemble techniques.Throughout my career, I have extensively utilized key libraries in my daily tasks, including pandas, numpy, transformers, keras, pytorch, fastapi, xgboost, streamlit, flower, folium, sqlalchemy, and pyodbc.
