ASCA promotes school approved products into school canteens and tuckshops and work with major food companies such as Golden Circle, Smiths, Lion & Uni-lever, Ingham's, plus smaller independent companies who provide convenient nutritious food into schools.As Area Manager, I looked after 70 schools on the Sunshine Coast and another 35 in the Gympie Cooloola Area, making sure, as members, they are receiving all the discounts that are applicable to products stocked in the canteen and that they benefited from their ASCA membership by introducing additional products or services which may interest them.

Office workAssisted 1-2 days a week the owner/director of SH event with the Organic Wine Show and SUSTAIN, an Organic, Natural and Sustainable trade and public show over 3 days in Melbourne during October 2013. Responsibility to get as many trade customers to attend the event on the specialist trade day. Cold calling prospective and existing partners for contras and sponsorship. Doing similar for the public show invites, working with businesses to utilise their databases and social media. Uploading info to What's On sites, updating website with new partners information, helping to design flyers, working with Sales Force database.Stage ManagerAt the 3 day event, I managed the food demonstration and the speakers stages dealing with VIP chefs and speakers I ran the stage show, obtained the ingredients through sponsorship or purchased remaining items, managed behind the scenes kitchen, prepared ingredients, management of volunteers and was MC for the stage. Introduced VIP chefs to sponsors.

Employed through the school's P&C, I was responsible for running the Primary School tuck shop three days a week. The school had 500+ students and took around $1000 a week. Changed menu to simpler, healthier menu and increased sales by 100%. Implemented online ordering which assisted the increase in sales, reduced the pressure of the day to day running and offered time and cost savings benefits. Worked with a team of 10 regular volunteers putting in additional voluntary hours to my contracted hours. Though I am no Jamie Oliver, I know my home made items and special dietary recipes were a huge hit.

Gray Dawes was the second largest independent Business Travel agency in the UK, looking after clients such as Reuters, Lloyds TSB and Standard Chartered Bank. The company was ahead of it's time developing an online booking tool for clients to use. My role included managing and developing existing local clients and winning $1m new business each year. My biggest win was securing Royal London Insurance as a client. In this role I also organised events and corporate hospitality for our travel partners including KLM, Scandinavian Airlines and Lufthansa, escorting clients and potential clients on familiarisation trips to Europe. Assisted in organising local business expos including relevant Travel Shows and manned our stand at the Business Travel trade show in London for 3 days. Stopped working after September 11th when the travel industry took a big dive and my personal circumstances changed so I was able to take some time out to spend with my family.
