Successfully led a comprehensive comprehensive financial, strategic and cultural turnaround and subsequent divestment of 100% stake in Elixir on behalf of the Dawood Hercules Group.• Delivered a shareholder return of over 2.6 times (inclusive of dividends and asset sale) in 3 years and 4 months• Restarted Elixir’s Corporate Finance division and completed landmark privatization transactions worth over $ 1.5 Billion, including the Government of Pakistan’s sale of its 40% stake in HBL Bank worth $1.02 billion, making it the largest equity capital markets transaction in Asian Frontier Markets history.• Used a multi-pronged strategy to boost Elixir’s retail business, growing the customer base by 25% in 2012, 25% in 2013 and 48% in 2014 with revenue increasing by 3 times between 2011 and 2014.• Reduced organizational risk by improving revenue split between broking and non broking business, and retail and institutional clients.• Overhauled company culture by establishing a weekly Elixir Leadership Forum (ELF), quarterly Town Hall Meetings, and a one-time Ghosts of the Past (GOP) committee to resolve all outstanding issues of the past. Provided employees with platforms from which to assess progress, communicate grievances and receive feedback, resulting in improved company-wide morale and a strong performance-appraisal culture.

Successfully restructured and turned around the retail and commodity brokerage businesses of BMA Capital Management Limited• Strategically scaled down retail branches, launched a new commodity desk, merged back office operations of the distribution and brokerage businesses

Established a new subsidiary of BMA Capital - BMA Financial Services Limited - Pakistan’s first independent financial products distribution company offering robust technology, execution and research platforms, and providing customers with mutual funds, equities, commodities and TFC on one platform.• Raised Rs. 7bn from the non-banking market for Mutual Funds and Debt and Equity IPO by building a large sales team to attract non-traditional investors.• Developed innovative in-house technology solutions including: a research database consolidating access to various funds, a decision-making portal facilitating client-ease in choosing funds to meet their needs, and an online form-filling utility and account snapshots allowing clients to both invest in and access investment portfolios effortlessly.• Established ‘Sixth Sense,’ a quarterly publication on mutual funds.
